How do I put DVD movies onto my iPod Touch?

As the title says. I have my DVD in the tray, iTunes open, and no idea what to do. Can anybody give my a step by step on how to put my movies onto my Touch, im going out today and I would like to watch a movie in the car

How can I make a backup of my DVD movies?

I have a new PC tower with a 16X Double Layer DVD burner. Windows XP Pro. Want to make burnt DVD’s of my movies for a backup, that will play in any regular TV DVD player. Thanks!

I’d probably go to download.com and get a free DVD ripper. Although most ones will have limitations, it’s not that bad but unless you want to pay, you don’t have many other choices. By the way, is this to make backups, or "backups"

i only have a dvd player, not a burner.so I know i would need a burner but how do you get the old movies transferred to the computer software.

OK I am trying to save a clip from a movie DVD on to my computer do I need to save the whole movie first then bookmark or whatever the part I want to save, I am not computer suave as you might say!! I have Windows Movie Maker and player can and if so how do you do it with that??
