How do good actors only star in good movies?

Take Morgan Freeman for example, how is it that he’s never been in a really crappy movie? Do good actors like Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson have to audition? Do they have to seek out auditions or do the movie makers come to them? And how can they tell if a movie is going to be good enough for them to act in?

They have agents, or even agencies that oversee everything that they consider doing.

What happens to actors after a crying scene?

I mean some actors/actresses really actually do cry in a movie (few of them use glycerine now)…so do they feel weird when the director goes CUT! and they’re still sniffling/have tears streaming down their faces?

Or what do they usually do after a crying scene?

Well it depends on how good the actor is. If he/she is experienced they will just stop and that’s that they just shake it off. If they havent done that kind of thing before then they might take a while to stop or to get back into the role or something. I no when i cry on que I just try and stop and it works but some people might not be able to. So i suppose it’s different for different people. How would hollywood actors react around average or ugly people?

November 112009

Posted in actors | 3 Comments »

If an ugly guy or average guy interviewed them, or won a trip to visit them. Would the hollywood actors be disgusted, because they are so used to seeing hot people all the time?

They would act like regular people.
Of course you may come across a person who is a real snob, but there are people who aren’t celebrities and are still snobby.
They would probably be nice and respectful to the person who is interviewing or visiting them.
Also, remember, just because all the actors on t.v. seem to be good looking, it doesn’t mean that they are used to seeing hot people all the time. They also work with directors, camera operators, sound crew, etc., and as these people aren’t on t.v. they don’t have to be good looking. We never see the people "behind the scenes", so most people just assume the entertainment industry is limited to people who are hot.

How did young actors/actresses find jobs?

I know that all actors/actresses have these talent agents that lead them to auditions, but how about children?
Parents would not be as daring to get their child a talent agent just because he/she can pose cutely, etc, but we see all these babies and kids on TV.
How did they get the jobs?

Living near a large city is an advantage, even a necessity, unless one is willing to relocate. Toronto, for instance, has agencies which will represent a child model or performer, if the child has what it takes. Parents must have a portfolio of professional glossy pics made up and then make the rounds, just as an adult performer would do. Sometimes it pays off. But it’s no easy task.

How much money do voice actors of Spongebob SquarePants make?

Knowing that SpongeBob has been very successful for the past 10 years with the same voice actor crew, do they get paid highly compared to the voice actors of the Simpsons? (400,000 an episode)

Nearly the same.

What actors have you learned the most from?

As actors, we are constantly watching other actors and learning from what they do well and what they do wrong. What actors have you learned from and what have you learned from them?
It can be inspiration or performance or both.

I’ve probably learned the most from my instructor. His name is Mr. Danon. He has helped me make my acting more personal and help me realize why I enjoy it so much. He has brought me to new levels of experience and appreciation.

How many actors should I use for a short film?

October 272009

I am currently planning a low budget thriller/horror short but it got me thinking. If I were planning a five minute short film how many characters should I use? Would it hurt my shoot if I use too many actors? And should the number of actors increase or decrease by certain time lengths? For example, 4 actors for 1-5 minutes, 5 actors for 6-11 minutes, etc. Crazy questions, but I had to ask.

Use as many actors as you have characters. Do not worry about the amount of actors. worry about the quality of the ones that you chose. A movie will not be taken seriously if the actors are not taken seriously. Do not settle for what you can get. Get the best you can. You will thank me in the end, I promise you.

What so actors actually wear in naked scenes?

October 242009

I am curious about this. When actors/actresses are doing a scene in a movie where they are naked, what do they really wear? I was wondering because often times you see their butt although never their front side. Do they have to be completely naked in front of the crew?

No- the actors/actress wear clothing like trunks or a 2 piece but the camera disguises it to make it appear they do not wear anything. I remember that tactic from the "Notebook".
